The Vinery Café at is well worth a visit during your stay. Set within the grounds of @rabycastleofficial , it offers relaxed, modern British café food made with seasonal ingredients, many of them sourced directly from the estate and local farms. It’s an ideal spot for breakfast, a light lunch, coffee and cake, or even afternoon tea after exploring the castle and gardens. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, and the food is consistently good.

They serve real homemade ice cream made from their own herd of Jersey cows, and honestly, it’s some of the best you’ll find anywhere. There’s loads of space for little ones to run around in the play area to the orchard where you might spot chickens or even a few donkeys wandering about.

The staff are always so welcoming and helpful, which makes it all the more special. It’s such a lovely spot to spend an afternoon - full of character.

Wheelbirks is currently on the market, so it’s a great time to go while it’s still just as it’s always been. Hopefully whoever takes it on keeps all the charm that makes it so special.
